Celebrating everything Italian with World Pasta Day

When you love carbs as much as the WonderDays team, it feels like living ‘la dolce vita’ when World Pasta Day comes around each year.

Some of the company’s most popular experience day gifts demonstrate the UK’s enduring love of Italian food.

From Italian afternoon tea to a Sicily wine tasting experience, WonderDays has many ways to enjoy the best of Italian eating culture.

World Pasta Day takes place on 25 October every year and celebrates all that is delicious, comforting and nutritious about penne, fettucine, ravioli and more.

With more than 600 different shapes from long and short, curled or twisted and frilly or filled, pasta is staple of so many diets.

The day was first introduced in 1995 by the World Pasta Congress, when pasta experts from all over the world met to discuss ways to promote such a beloved and versatile main ingredient.

“Everyone here at WonderDays absolutely loves pasta and celebrating World Pasta Day is the perfect excuse for a delicious carb-loaded dinner or lunch,” said Abi Sadler, partnerships manager at WonderDays.

She said Italian-themed experience gifts were consistently popular all year round, with the Italian afternoon tea and our Italian wine tasting dinner firm favourites.

“With a part-Italian head of marketing who has some very firm views on what makes a proper carbonara, bolognaise or pizza topping, all of our Italian experience days had to be as authentic as possible,” she added.

“For those keen to learn new cooking skills, Italian is one of the most popular cuisines chosen by customers buying a cookery class experience.”

WonderDays is a UK experience gifts company launched to offer a more flexible and simpler buying process not seen before in the experiences industry.

It is the only experience provider to offer experience days that can be tailored to any number of people, with a fully automated, online exchange process should the customer change their mind.
