Festive Reindeer Peanut Butter Cookies

Instructions

1.  In a large mixing bowl, beat together the softened butter, peanut butter, granulated sugar, and brown sugar until light and fluffy. Beat the eggs in one at a time, then add the vanilla extract.
2. In a separate medium bowl, combine the flour, baking soda, and salt. Gradually incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet, mixing until just combined and a soft dough forms.
3. Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and chill the dough in the fridge for at least 30 minutes
4. Preheat the oven to 350°F. Line baking sheets with parchment paper. Roll the chilled dough into 1-inch balls and place them approximately 2 inches apart on the prepared baking sheets.
5. Bake for 8–10 minutes, or until the edges are lightly golden. The centres may still appear soft, but they will firm up as they cool.
6. As soon as the cookies are out of the oven and still warm and soft, gently press two mini pretzels into the top of each cookie to form antlers. For a reindeer's nose, place a red M&M below the pretzels, followed by two sweet eyes or mini chocolate chips above the nose.
7. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheets for a few minutes before transferring them to a wire rack to finish cooling completely.
